Steven Apampa is a multifaceted creative, with a keen expertise in sports and culture, and a strong background in strategic thinking, brand storytelling and community initiatives.

Steven’s journey started in Lagos, Nigeria – a country of over 200 million people, where creativity isn’t a buzzword it’s a way of life. His family relocated to the UK when he was young, and his professional career began in 2011 taking him to the home of English Football: Wembley.

Steven embarked on a role with IMG at the National Stadium, operating in client management for the Club Wembley tier. While there, he also worked on two Champions League finals, one including his beloved Manchester United.
During that period, Steven got the opportunity to work in Nigeria on the first ever FIFA Beach Soccer tournament in Africa, where he was the Media & PR Officer. He was responsible for tournament promotion, working with the media and running the volunteer program. The role got him working alongside his footballing hero, Jay Jay Okocha.

In 2015, Steven moved to Amsterdam to work for Nike, where he is to this day. During his time at Nike, he’s been part of the Nike Football team across the European Championships in 2016 and 2024, working with the likes of Vini Jr., CR7, Kylian M’bappe, Jay Jay Okocha, Luis Figo, Camavinga and Haaland to name just a few.

In addition, he’s worked on Nike lifestyle which has seen him involved with the Nike TN 20th anniversary, Lebron James Paris tour, PSG x Jordan kit launch and more.

Finally, he also spent time as the Marketing Manager for Jordan Brand in EMEA. During this period he helped sign Roma to Jordan, sponsored the Brixton Topcats, launched Jordan’s first ever celebration of Black History Month, as well as working on athlete plans involving Jayson Tatum, Luka Doncic and Zion Williamson.

Whilst in Amsterdam, he further explored his creativity to launch the ‘Out of Home’ podcast with three friends in November 2019. Since then, it’s taken them far and wide, from playing at Barcelona’s home, the Camp Nou, to the African Nations Cup in Cameroon and Cote D’Ivoire.
